Alphagan (Brimonidine) are eye drops for the eyes that are used to reduce pressure inside the eyes in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye) Ocular hypertension is the main risk factor involved in glaucoma, a disease that, if left untreated, can lead to severe and irreversible loss of visual capacity. The Alphagan brand of this medicine is only available with a prescription. Alphagan is for use in adults and children over 2 years of age.
