A rich blend of: Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot; aged for 18 months in French oak. The Alto 1693 has juicy red fruit and soft violets on the nose rounded off with spiciness. The wine is well integrated with a seamless tannin structure, embodied by mulberries, and pepper, finished off with a delicate aftertaste.
Colour: Dark ruby red.
Bouquet: Lead pencil shavings, crushed red fruit and a hint of chocolate dominate the nose.
Taste: Elegant red fruit flavours on the palate, backed up by soft, elegant tannins.
General: A stylish princely wine with excellent aging potential.

Suggested Food Pairings: Pair with dishes such as quality cuts of beef, flame grilled rump steak, spicy venison or beef casserole! Lasagna and a hearty Spaghetti Bolognese also work quite well
